Co-op Bank Partners with KenGen to Boost Environmental Conservation

Co-operative Bank of Kenya has partnered with the Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) to support initiatives aimed at restoring environmental ecosystems and strengthening environmental awareness.

The partnership brings together the two institutions in efforts to promote environmental conservation and encourage greater awareness of the importance of protecting and restoring natural ecosystems.

Representing Co-op Bank during the engagement was Mark Mathenge, Sector Head – Energy, alongside Wanjiku Kabiru, Regional Manager – Nairobi South.

KenGen was represented by its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Eng. Peter Njenga, and KenGen Foundation Managing Director Anthony Igecha.

The partnership comes as organisations across the country continue to explore collaborative approaches to addressing environmental challenges, including ecosystem degradation and the need for increased public awareness on conservation.

Through the initiative, Co-op Bank and KenGen seek to contribute to environmental restoration efforts while promoting sustainable practices that can benefit communities and future generations.
