Jiji Kenya Named Best E-Commerce Platform for the Third Consecutive Year at the 2025 Digitally Fit Awards

Jiji Kenya, the country’s leading online marketplace, has once again been named Best E-Commerce Platform at the 2025 Digitally Fit Awards, marking the company’s third consecutive win. The awards ceremony, held at the Argyle Grand Hotel in Nairobi, celebrated top brands and innovators transforming Kenya’s fast-growing digital economy.

Speaking after the win, Maureen Naliaka, PR Manager at Jiji Kenya, emphasized the importance of this achievement:

“Being named Kenya’s Best E-Commerce Platform multiple times is a true honor and a reflection of our commitment to making online commerce better for everyone. This milestone recognizes the impact we’ve made in supporting entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners. Our mission remains to make online selling simple, empower users with the tools they need to grow, and open more paths to self-employment.”

Kenya’s e-commerce sector continues to experience remarkable growth. According to the International Trade Administration, revenue in the market is projected to expand by 16.4% annually through 2025, driven by rising internet penetration, mobile payment adoption, and increasing consumer trust in online shopping.

A recent Communications Authority of Kenya (CAK) report shows that mobile money subscriptions reached 45.4 million users this year, representing 86.6% penetration, underscoring how digital payments have become central to everyday transactions.

These trends reinforce Jiji’s leadership in the e-commerce landscape. As mobile shopping and digital payments evolve, Jiji continues to simplify the online buying and selling process — helping sellers grow their businesses and enabling buyers to transact with confidence.

Naliaka added:

“We’ll continue to innovate and introduce new features that make online trade smarter and safer. This includes our soon-to-be-launched Jiji Academy, a free online program that trains new and aspiring sellers on how to grow their businesses, and Jiji Delivery, a seller-focused logistics solution. These initiatives will help sellers learn, sell, and deliver efficiently, while buyers enjoy a smoother shopping experience from post to purchase.”

Since launching in 2019, Jiji has become a household name in Kenya, connecting millions of users nationwide and setting the benchmark for simple, affordable, and reliable online trade.
