The Devolution Empowerment Party (DEP-BUS) has unveiled Bonface Kariuki Ngari as its candidate for the Muminji Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) seat, setting the stage for a competitive by-election in Embu County.
DEP party leader Lenny Kivuti described Ngari as a passionate and dynamic leader, saying the party is confident he will deliver accountable and people-centered leadership if elected.
According to Kivuti, Ngari represents a new generation of leadership focused on empowerment, inclusivity, and practical development at the grassroots.
“Bonface is not just another politician. He is one of the people, deeply involved in Muminji and Embu County’s development agenda,” Kivuti said.

The party said Ngari will prioritize fresh ideas, transparent governance, and policies aimed at improving livelihoods in the ward, as residents prepare to elect a new MCA.

Kivuti called on Muminji residents to rally behind Ngari, framing the by-election as an opportunity for voters to redefine leadership and take charge of their future.

“Muminji, this is your moment. Let us unite and rise together to build the ward you deserve,” he said.
DEP further positioned Ngari as a youthful and energetic candidate capable of articulating the needs of ordinary citizens while pushing for development-driven representation at the county assembly.

The Muminji Ward by-election is expected to draw interest from multiple political parties, with the outcome seen as an early indicator of shifting political dynamics in the region ahead of the 2027 General Election.
