Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has allegedly taken over The National Party (TNP) from former Thika MP Patrick Wainaina, popularly known as Jungle.
According to reliable sources, the governor reportedly purchased the party two months ago as part of her political realignment ahead of the 2027 General Election.
”Its true , Wainaina has hod his party TNP to Ann Waiguru but the dealhas been made secret, ‘revealed a source close to information.
Insiders claim Waiguru is planning to use TNP as her new political vehicle, with intentions to vie for the Kirinyaga Senate seat once her gubernatorial term ends.
The move, if confirmed, would mark a major shift in Mount Kenya politics, as Waiguru has been a key ally of President William Ruto within the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
Neither Waiguru nor Wainaina has publicly commented on the alleged party acquisition.
