“Education is the most powerful investment we can make as a community. By supporting our learners today, we are empowering minds, nurturing talent, and creating opportunities that will uplift not just individuals, but families and the entire ward,” Owino said.

Owino reiterated that the programme targets needy students across primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions, ensuring that financial constraints do not force learners to drop out.

He urged beneficiaries to take their studies seriously and make good use of the opportunity, reminding them that public resources must translate into positive results.

Residents welcomed the exercise, terming it timely and impactful. Many parents expressed optimism that the bursaries would ease the burden of school fees and help students focus on their education.
