“Highlights from today’s Nairobi East MSME Forum at LaMada Hotel where our customers and bank experts connected to discuss what really matters: building thriving businesses,”
The forum brought together customers from the region and senior Co-op Bank officials, creating an opportunity for direct interaction between the bank and the businesses it serves.
Among the experts at the forum were Ben Muriuki, Head of Investor Relations and Strategy, David Akumu, Head of Business Banking, and Marygoret Maele, Nairobi East Regional Head.
Their participation highlighted Co-op Bank’s focus on maintaining close engagement with its MSME customers and understanding the opportunities and challenges they face in running their businesses.
For many MSMEs, access to appropriate financial services, business knowledge and stronger relationships with financial institutions can play an important role in supporting expansion and long-term sustainability.
The Nairobi East forum therefore provided more than a customer engagement platform, giving entrepreneurs an opportunity to connect with banking professionals and discuss issues around building and growing successful businesses.
Co-op Bank has continued to engage customers through sector and regional forums as part of efforts to understand their changing needs and strengthen the support available to businesses.
The bank also thanked customers who attended the Nairobi East MSME Forum, recognising their participation and contribution to the discussions on building stronger businesses.
The engagement comes as Kenyan MSMEs continue to play a significant role in employment creation, entrepreneurship and economic activity, making access to relevant financial support an important component of business growth.
