The Inspector General of the National Police Service National Police Service-Kenya, Mr. Douglas Kanja, is currently appearing before the Senate Committee on National Security, Defence and Foreign Relations.
The session is being held at Bunge Towers, Nairobi, and is chaired by Isiolo Senator Fatuma Dullo, who leads the committee overseeing national security matters.
According to the police service, IG Kanja is accompanied by senior security officials, including the Deputy Inspector General of the Kenya Police Service, Mr. Eliud Lagat; the Deputy Inspector General of the Administration Police Service, Mr. Gilbert Masengeli; and the Director of Criminal Investigations, Mr. Mohamed Amin.
The high-level appearance comes as the Senate continues its oversight role over the country’s security apparatus, with lawmakers expected to interrogate key issues affecting policing and national safety.
