IG Kanja Thanks Co-op Bank for Ksh. 500,000 Boost Towards Police Athletics Championship

The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Douglas Kanja (MGH, CBS, OGW), has extended heartfelt thanks to Co-operative Bank of Kenya following a sponsorship of Ksh.500,000 towards the upcoming National Police Service Annual Athletics Championship, set to take place on June 3–4, 2025.

The sponsorship cheque was presented yesterday by Mr. Jackson Muendo, Co-operative Bank’s Head of Consumer Banking, in a ceremony held at Vigilance House.

“Co-operative Bank’s Head of Consumer Banking, Mr. Jackson Muendo, yesterday presented a Ksh.500,000 cheque to the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Douglas Kanja (MGH, CBS, OGW), as a sponsorship towards the upcoming National Police Service Annual Athletics Championship, scheduled for 3rd–4th June 2025,” bank said in a statement

In his remarks, IG Kanja welcomed the contribution, terming it a timely gesture that underscores the role of public-private partnerships in supporting the welfare and development of police officers.
