Democracy for the Citizen Party (DCP) has postponed its much-anticipated launch that was scheduled to take place along Thika Road.
This announcement was made by the party’s Nairobi patron, Irungu Nyakera, in a public statement issued earlier today.
According to Nyakera, the event was called off due to unforeseen circumstances surrounding the availability of the venue.

However, he maintained a defiant tone, vowing that the party’s mission and voice would not be silenced.
“THE DCP PARTY LAUNCH THAT WAS TO BE HELD ON THIKA ROAD HAS BEEN CALLED OFF, AWAITING NEW VENUE AND DATE. But let it be known that you can deny us a venue, but you cannot deny us our voice. WE WILL RISE..”
However, he revealed that new dates and a venue would be communicated in due time and that the slight setback would not break their resolve.
The party leader and former Deputy President, Rigathi Gachagua, had earlier announced that the launch party would be held at Kasarani Stadium in a booking letter for the stadium’s gymnasium.
