“Kenya stands ready to play a leading role in shaping the future of global peacekeeping. As threats evolve, so must our response—agile, equipped, and grounded in a shared commitment to peace.” – Hon. Soipan Tuya, Defence Cabinet Secretary
Additionally, a Mobile Training Team will be deployed in support of the UN Mine Action Service’s IED Threat Mitigation Advisory Team beginning September 2025.
Hon. Tuya also called for a comprehensive review of UN peace operations to enhance their effectiveness and responsiveness.
She emphasized the need for adaptive and agile strategies to address the shifting global security landscape, which presents new and complex threats to peace, security, and the safety of peacekeepers.
