Principal Secretary for Health, Mary Muthoni, has reaffirmed Kenya’s commitment to advancing Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and strengthening regional health security.
Speaking on Monday during the inaugural Regional Health Emergency Leaders Network meeting in Rabat, Morocco, the PS said the platform will enable Kenya to deepen cross-border collaboration and strengthen trusted peer linkages.

“Kenya will benefit from enhanced cross-border collaboration, trusted peer networks, rapid information sharing, and alignment with the Global Health Emergency Corps—vital steps in safeguarding national health gains and protecting communities against future threats,” she said.
PS Muthoni was accompanied by Dr. Maureen Kamene, the Acting Director General of the Kenya National Public Health Institute.
