Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi on Monday paid tribute to the late Mzee Isaac Ngugi, father of National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah, describing his passing as a reminder of the values and legacy that shape generations.
“I joined the Ichung’wah family in prayer and solidarity, encouraging them to draw strength, unity, and courage as they celebrate the remarkable life and enduring impact of their patriarch,” Mudavadi said during the funeral service.
The burial took place at the family home in Gikambura, Kikuyu Constituency, Kiambu County, and was attended by President William Ruto, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, senior government officials, and leaders from both national and county levels.

Their presence reflected the deep respect and admiration Mzee Ngugi inspired within his community and across the nation.
Mzee Ngugi, who passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 105, was remembered as an inspirational figure of exceptional character.
President Ruto, in his tribute, hailed him as a man whose life’s work and values leave behind a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire generations.
