Day 2 of the highly anticipated 20th National Cooperative CEOs Workshop brought together a powerhouse of leadership and strategy yesterday at the Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort, where over 100 top CEOs of Kenya’s most successful cooperative societies are gathered to chart the future of the sector.
Organized by Co-op Consultancy Services Limited—a fully owned subsidiary of Co-operative Bank of Kenya—the annual workshop is a flagship event that aims to elevate the leadership, financial acumen, and strategic thinking of cooperative executives across the country.
Themed “Leading Beyond the Horizon,” this year’s forum has attracted attention not just for its setting but for the depth of insight being shared.
Day 2 focused on one of the most pressing needs of the modern cooperative: strong financial management for sustainable growth.
The session was headlined by a high-caliber panel of corporate leaders including Mr. Patrick Nyaga, Group MD & CEO of CIC Group, Mr. Geoffrey Odundo, Group MD & CEO of Nation Media Group, and Mr. Vincent Marangu, Director of Co-operatives Banking Division at Co-op Bank.
The workshop is part of Co-op Bank’s broader mission to strengthen the cooperative movement in Kenya—one of the largest and most vibrant in Africa.
Through Co-op Consultancy, the bank provides year-round training, mentorship, and institutional support tailored to the unique needs of saccos and cooperatives.
