According to a social media post by Nyakundi, a patient at the hospital reportedly underwent surgery during which a piece of cotton was left inside her body. In response, the hospital has clarified that the case in question occurred in 2018 and was thoroughly addressed at the time.

“As a Level 5 hospital with multiple departments, we take all matters raised about our facility very seriously,” the statement read. “We have investigated the matter and can confirm that Mr. Nyakundi is referring to an incident from 2018, which was resolved appropriately.”

Emphasizing its commitment to professionalism and accountability, Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital condemned what it termed as an attempt to tarnish its image and confirmed that legal action is being initiated.

“We will not allow baseless allegations to go unchallenged. Legal measures are being taken to ensure Mr. Nyakundi provides clarity and evidence regarding his claims,” the statement concluded.
