The ministry of information, communication and the digital economy on Thursday formally signed a set of resolutions with County Governments following the ICT Intergovernmental Sector Forum.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, Cabinet secretary William Kabogo said the move marked an important step toward deeper national and county collaboration in the ICT sector.
He argued that the resolutions focus on harmonizing wayleave and licensing frameworks and protecting critical digital infrastructure while strengthening cybersecurity coordination.

“we’ve formally signed a set of resolutions with County Governments following the ICT Intergovernmental Sector Forum, marking an important step toward deeper national–county collaboration in the ICT sector,” Kabogo said.
Kabogo further added that the signing of the MOU will help in accelerating the implementation of the Kenya National Digital Master Plan.

“These actions will reduce the cost of deploying ICT infrastructure, improve service delivery, and support inclusive digital transformation across all 47 counties,” he added.
