Businessman Oketch Salah has responded to remarks made by EALA MP Winnie Odinga during a recent Citizen TV interview, insisting he stands by his claims about what he describes as his final moments with ODM leader Raila Odinga.
In a brief statement, Salah said he initially chose to remain silent out of respect for Mama Ida Odinga, whom he referred to as “Her Excellency the Ambassador, Mama Ida Min Piny from Migori.”
“I watched last night’s interview on Citizen TV with Yvonne Okwara where Winnie spoke about me. Because of the respect I have for Her Excellency the Ambassador, Mama Ida Min Piny from Migori, I chose to remain quiet. That was a deliberate and personal decision,” he said.

However, Salah noted that some of the remarks made during the interview required clarification.
“Some of what was said needs clarity. I stand by everything I have said about my last moments with Baba. Those moments were real, painful and lived,” he added.
Salah said he would give a full response in a forthcoming interview, without disclosing when or where it would take place.
His statement comes amid an escalating public exchange after Winnie Odinga dismissed his earlier claims as false and dangerous, calling for closer scrutiny of his conduct.
