Teamwork Pays Off as LG Crowns #TrekToLove Winners in Nairobi

After weeks of heartfelt submissions and fierce competition, LG Electronics East Africa and its main distribution partner, Opalnet, have brought their #TrekToLove campaign to an action-packed close.

The finale, held at Nairobi’s scenic Karura Forest, saw finalists battle it out in a demanding obstacle course designed not just for speed, but for communication, trust, and teamwork.

Launched in March, the lifestyle-driven campaign invited couples, friends, and communities from across the region to submit videos showcasing the activities they enjoy doing together — from cooking and dancing to fitness routines and travel moments.

The response was overwhelming, with entries pouring in that celebrated authentic stories of friendship and shared experiences.

A select group of those participants was then flown to Nairobi to take on the one-of-a-kind forest course. After an energetic and nail-biting showdown, three teams walked away with life-changing prizes.

Grand Prize Winners

Mohammed Omar and Serreti Nannes claimed a luxury night’s stay at an exclusive hotel, plus an LG Bottom Freezer Fridge.

First Runners-Up

Sharon Nduati and Nick Nduati took home a 65-inch LG QNED TV, while

Second Runners-Up

Monique Abok and Winnie Opiyo won an 8kg LG Washing Machine.

Speaking at the event, LG Electronics East Africa’s Head of Marketing, Jane Kariuki, said the campaign was about more than just winning.

“#TrekToLove was about celebrating real connections in a way that feels fresh, fun and relatable. We wanted to create something that reflects how people connect, grow and share experiences together, and seeing that come to life has been amazing.”

She added: “We also wanted to create something that reflects modern lifestyles, where shared experiences are at the heart of connection. That’s the space where LG exists — supporting those everyday moments with solutions that make life smoother and more enjoyable.”
