Why Tycoon John Mwaura Is Emerging as the Man to Watch in Kiambu Governor Politics

As political realignments continue to reshape the Mt Kenya region ahead of the 2027 General Election, Kiambu gubernatorial hopeful John Mwaura is steadily emerging as one of the county’s most promising political figures.

Unlike many aspirants who begin campaigns without established political backing, Mwaura enters the race with the support of one of the region’s most influential political leaders, former Deputy President and Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua.
