50% Discounts as Naivas Unveils 2026 Kikapu Kibonge

Naivas Supermarkets has rolled out the 2026 edition of its flagship ‘Kikapu Kibonge’ campaign, ramping up efforts to support Kenyan households under pressure from persistently high living costs.

Dubbed “Beba Kikapu Kibonge’ with discounts of upto 50 per cent off, it is designed to provide consistent access to essential household goods at discounted prices, as families continue to grapple with elevated spending on food, energy and transport driven by both local and global inflation.

Naivas Chief Executive Officer Andreas von Paleske said the campaign reflects a shift in consumer priorities toward affordability and predictability.

“In the current environment, value is not optional it is fundamental. Our focus is to reduce pressure on the household basket by improving affordability and ensuring consistent access to essential goods,” he said.

The campaign centres on curated baskets of everyday items offered at reduced prices, enabling consumers to better manage constrained budgets without compromising on quality.

Unlike previous editions, the 2026 rollout adopts a more structured model, moving away from short-term promotions to sustained savings across key product categories.

The supermarket chain says this approach is aimed at giving shoppers greater certainty in their spending.

Naivas attributed the programme’s viability to closer collaboration with suppliers, which has helped drive efficiencies across its value chain.

These include improved supply chain management, reduced wastage particularly in fresh produce and continued support for local producers through sustainable sourcing.

“We are working more closely with our suppliers to unlock efficiencies that can be passed on to customers while also strengthening support for local producers,” the retailer noted.

The company said the initiative also mirrors changing shopping behaviour, with consumers increasingly prioritising value, efficiency and reliability amid tighter household budgets.

The campaign was launched during a family fun day event, offering customers an opportunity to engage with the brand and experience the discounted bundles firsthand.

Kikapu Kibonge 2026 will be available across all Naivas outlets nationwide, supported by both in-store and digital promotions as the retailer seeks to scale its value-driven offerings.

Naivas added that it will continue to roll out similar initiatives aimed at enhancing affordability and improving customer experience across its growing retail network.
