Anti government crusaders are on a guessing mission, CS Mvurya says

Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya said the Kenya Kwanza administration has a score card to display to seek President William Ruto’s re-election in the 2027 general election.
He said an appropriate time will come for the government to show case why they are on the re-election bid.
“We have impessive programs to take the country to the next level after next year’s polls,” he said.
Mvurya dismissed claims that the government lacks a vision to take the country to the next level.
He was speaking during an iftar dinner held at the Swahilipot Hub in Mombasa county.
The Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts Cabinet Secretary said they are ready to show case what the government has done for the past four years in office.
Mvurya further said the government has directed Principal Secretaries to show case  what the government has done in the past four years.
He added that at every function they attend they should show case in their presentations what the government has achieved.
“Every region they visit the Principal Secretaries have a duty to make their presentations,” he pointed out.
The Cabinet Secretary urged members of public to be government ambassadors in articulating what the government has achieved to counter the false narrative by the united opposition who are against the government efforts.
Mvurya warned the opposition to stop intimidating officers when representing the government whether in public or at places of worship
In his welcome remarks Senate Speaker Amason Jeffah Kingi said his Pamoja African Alliance (PAA) party officials and members are ready to roll up their sleeves after this year’s holy month of Ramadhan.
He added that there is a lot of work to be done to ensure President Ruto succeeds in his re-election quest.
“We have work to be done before next year’s polls,” he pointed out.
