Chelsea Confirm 28-Man Squad for FIFA Club World Cup 2025

Chelsea FC have confirmed their 28-man squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup 2025, with four of the club’s summer signings set to feature in the highly anticipated tournament in the United States.

The Blues will depart for the U.S. on Friday, ahead of their opening Group C fixture against Los Angeles FC on Monday, June 16 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The match is scheduled to kick off at 8pm local time.

Enzo Maresca’s side will then shift base to Philadelphia, where they are scheduled to face Brazilian giants Flamengo on Friday, June 20 (7pm) at Lincoln Financial Field, before wrapping up their group stage against ES Tunis on Tuesday, June 24 at 2am (local time).

Chelsea’s qualification for the expanded 32-team tournament comes by virtue of their UEFA Champions League victory in 2021. The tournament pools top clubs from each of the six football confederations—UEFA, AFC, CAF, CONCACAF, CONMEBOL, and OFC.

Teams are divided into eight groups of four, with the top two from each group advancing to the knockout stage, culminating in the final on Sunday, July 13.

Among the new names in Chelsea’s squad are summer acquisitions:

  • Liam Delap (striker)
