The Clergy has welcomed the Launch of the National Policy on Family Promotion and Protection which took place Wednesday at the, KICC, Nairobi and presided over by First Lady Rachael Ruto.
Airing his thoughts on the same, The Presiding Bishop of the Glory Outreach Assembly Bishop David Munyiri Thagana highlighted the importance of cushioning families from the effects of climate change. Bishop Thagana observed:
“Climate change has been real because we have seen what our country has witnessed in the recent past. Before the rains, there was a prolonged drought that saw us responding by assisting our brothers and sisters with food aid. Fast forward to the flash floods which have again rendered several Kenyans homeless, displaced and leaving a trail of destruction.”
Glory Outreach Assembly under the shepherdship of Bishop Thagana was on the frontline participating in the Nationwide Tree planting as directed by President William Ruto.
“Let us all join hands to conserve our environment for future generations. Plant and grow a tree in a bid to mitigate the effects of climate change, which are disastrous either way – in drought and floods.”
In conclusion the Bishop called upon Kenyans to shun the negative trends that are slowly creeping into the African society – the thorny LGBTQ issue.
“We are unwavering in declaring total opposition against this Western trend. We are Africa and never shall we embrace such
It’s alien and in our hearts and culture, it will remain an abomination.
