The Co-operative Bank of Kenya has officially opened a new branch in Kibwezi, Makueni County, marking a significant step in its ongoing strategy to expand access to banking services across the country.
Strategically located in the heart of Kibwezi town, the new branch is expected to serve thousands of residents and businesses in the region, many of whom have long been underserved.
The move is part of the bank’s broader agenda to enhance financial inclusion and reach communities previously limited in access to formal banking.
“Yes, Kibwezi is with us! Co-op Bank is now in town — bringing you closer to convenient and reliable banking. Step in today. Karibu!” read a statement from the bank, celebrating the launch.
The Kibwezi opening comes on the heels of several other branch launches across Kenya as Co-op Bank strengthens its national footprint.
In recent months, the bank has opened new branches in Nairobi’s Eastleigh at BBS Mall and along Mombasa Road at Imaara Mall, as well as in Meru, Ugunja in Siaya County, Thika Town, and Kenol in Murang’a County.
This growing network of branches underscores Co-op Bank’s commitment to offering accessible and customer-focused banking solutions while fostering economic growth at the grassroots level.
