Co-operative Bank of Kenya has partnered with Fanaka Real Estate in a new collaboration aimed at making it easier for Kenyans to purchase land and finance the construction of homes.
The partnership will combine Fanaka Real Estate’s land offerings with Co-op Bank’s mortgage and property financing solutions, giving customers an integrated option for moving from land purchase to construction.
Under the arrangement, Fanaka Real Estate will provide land opportunities while Co-op Bank will offer tailored financing options, including the Kenya Mortgage Refinance Company (KMRC) Home Loan and its Buy-and-Build Mortgage.
“We are pleased to announce a strategic partnership between Co-op Bank and Fanaka Real Estate, aimed at making property ownership journey – from land purchase to construction and Buy & Build solutions-as seamless as possible,’statement read.

The two companies said the collaboration is intended to simplify the homeownership journey by allowing customers to access land and financing solutions through the partnership.
Co-op Bank said the initiative forms part of its efforts to make homeownership and wealth creation more accessible to Kenyans by providing financing solutions suited to different property ownership needs.
The partnership also covers Buy-and-Build solutions, enabling eligible customers to finance the acquisition of land and subsequent construction of residential property.
Co-op Bank’s Acting Head of Retail Mortgage Evan Mwangi represented the bank during the partnership engagement, alongside Kamakis Branch Manager David Gacheru and Corporate Mortgage Sales Manager Hilary Majale.
Fanaka Real Estate was represented by Chief Executive Officer Moses Muriithi, Company Lawyer Lawrence Gachanja Mwangi and Branch Manager Zipporah Kiringu.
The partnership comes as financial institutions and property companies increasingly explore collaborations designed to address the financing challenges faced by Kenyans seeking to acquire land and build homes.
Customers interested in the initiative can access the property opportunities through Fanaka Real Estate offices or begin their financing journey through Co-op Bank’s GoodHome Mortgage Property Hub.
