Dominican Republic vows to Support Kenyan mission in Haiti

Musalia Mudavadi, a Prime cabinet secretary  on Tuesday held as productive meeting with Dominican Republic’s President, H.E. Luis Abinader, at Palacio Nacional in Santo Domingo.

Musalia used the opportunity to conveyed President William Samoei Ruto’s gratitude for the Caribbean nation’s strong support to the Kenya-led Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti.

He revealed that their conversation centered on peace across the region.

“We exchanged views on regional peace and security, including developments in Eastern DRC and the Horn of Africa, and I shared outcomes from recent engagements in Washington, D.C., and the MSSM donor roundtable in Santo Domingo,” Musalia said.

On his part, President Abinader reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the Mission’s success.

He proposed closer collaboration with Brazil to bolster support for Haitimission.

The meeting was also attended by Roberto Álvarez, Foreign Affairs Minister; Amb. Francisco Caraballo, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Brig. Mao Enua Gomez.
