The United Green Movement Party (UGM) Presidential flag bearer David Maraga said the Kenya Kwanza administration has sensed defeat in next year’s general election.
He accused the administration of resorting to the hiring of goons countrywide against the opposition.
Maraga said the government has panicked after sensing defeat and that’s why they are engaging in the format of hiring goons towards the 2027 polls.
He was addressing the media at end of his caravan tour of Taita Taveta county in Voi constituency.
The UGM Party flag bearer told the media that President William Ruto has already lost his reelection bid in next year’s polls.
Maraga, who is former Chief Justice, sought to put the record straight that President Ruto is trying to do everything at his disposal to salvage his second term bid.
He told Journalists after traversing Bura, Wundanyi, Mwatate, and opening party office in the county that the administration has been insulting members of the public through engaging in the hiring of goons within the country.
He added that the government can’t stop the opposition movement’s aim to unseat the administration in the 2027 polls.
“Let me call upon the youths to take advantage of the continuous voter registration (CVR) exercise to send the Kenya Kwanza administration packing,” he said.
The former CJ said Kenyans are tired of the massive corruption in government project.
Maraga further said every day there are reports in local dailies of government project funds having been looted.
