Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa yesterday called on the Luhya community to wait for his direction on who they will vote for as president in next year’s election.

Speaking at Kimwanga village in Bumula constituency when he met local residents at Mzee Alfred Marango’s home, the CS said the community should wait for his announcement in December, as his prediction on who wins the presidency is always right.

He said those who have been opposing his predictions have always found themselves in the Opposition.

He said when he predicted that Jubilee would form the government in 2013 and 2017, Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula and his Amani counterpart Musalia Mudavadi dismissed him.

“In 2013, I predicted that Jubilee will form the government even in 2017.

Those who said I was misleading the community are now in Opposition,” said Wamalwa.

Said he: “I will be making announcement on who will form the next government amongst those who are vying for the presidency by December so be patient,” he said.

He asked the community to go by his words, as they should not be left out in the next government.

“This time round adheres to whoever I tell you to vote in, as we do not want to be in Opposition again,” he said.

He at the same time urged the youth and those who had not registered as voters to do so starting next week when the electoral agency rolls out the exercise.
