Former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga has launched a nationwide campaign to promote peace, unity, and reconciliation across Kenya. Speaking at a well-attended prayer meeting at Kamukunji Grounds in Nyeri Town, Maina called on leaders and citizens to support the initiative aimed at fostering national cohesion and socio-economic progress.
Addressing the crowd, Maina urged the youth, especially those with troubled pasts, to embrace reform and contribute to peace-building efforts. “Let us all become ambassadors of peace, starting within our homes. This is the foundation of national unity,” he said, receiving resounding cheers from the audience.
The peace caravan will extend to other regions, seeking to unite communities and encourage reconciliation. Maina emphasized that leaders must actively champion peace to ensure Kenya’s stability and prosperity.
The prayer meeting marks the start of a larger campaign focused on healing divisions, inspiring reform, and building a harmonious future for all Kenyans.
