Royal Media Services (RMS) has announced a strategic realignment of leadership within its acclaimed 24-hour Kikuyu language station, Inooro TV.
This decisive maneuver is geared towards fortifying Inooro TV’s position amidst the fiercely competitive media landscape, ensuring its sustained prominence and influence.
In a directive addressed to the dedicated staff, Group Editorial Director Linus Kaikai heralded the appointment of Lincoln Njogu as the new Managing Editor of Inooro TV, a testament to Njogu’s proven capabilities and sterling track record.
Stepping up from his previous role as Deputy Managing Editor, Njogu assumes the reins from Patrick Rukwaro, who transitions seamlessly to the role of Managing Editor, Special Projects, leveraging his expertise in specialized ventures.
The elevation of Njogu comes at a pivotal juncture, marked by concerns over cohesion within the editorial ranks. Rukwaro’s tenure, while marked by accomplishments, has encountered turbulence, with dissent simmering among departing staff, citing alleged favoritism and unfair treatment.
This strategic reshuffle is poised to quell discord and reinvigorate morale, fostering a culture of unity and excellence.
Kaikai underscored the significance of these appointments, affirming their integral role in the ongoing quest to enhance Inooro TV’s performance and resilience.
Additionally, the announcement heralded the promotion of Julius Kariithi to the pivotal position of News Editor (Input), alongside the auspicious appointments of Caroline Kinyugo, Harun Njoroge, and Martin Munene as News Editors (Output), amplifying the newsroom’s prowess and efficacy.
Effective immediately, these appointments signify RMS’s unwavering commitment to Inooro TV’s enduring success and impact. Kaikai concluded the directive by expressing heartfelt well-wishes to Njogu and the entire team, underscoring their collective responsibility in delivering excellence.
This strategic leadership overhaul not only underscores RMS’s dedication to Inooro TV’s continued ascendancy but also heralds a new era of innovation and dynamism.
