A new political exchange has emerged on social media after State House blogger Dennis Itumbi posted a statement addressing opposition realignments ahead of anticipated protests and the evolving 2027 succession politics.
In the post, Itumbi referred to Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, alleging that the two have agreed on a coalition name, reportedly dubbed the “Ukombozi Linda Mwananchi Alliance.”
He further claimed that the emerging political formation has already settled on a Nairobi leadership lineup, naming Embakasi East MP Babu Owino as a gubernatorial contender and former senior public official Irungu Nyakera as a senatorial candidate, alongside other unnamed aspirants.

The remarks also touched on internal opposition consultations and alleged negotiations among multiple political actors, suggesting early preparations for a broader coalition ahead of the next general election cycle.

Itumbi further referenced upcoming political activities and rallies in various regions, including Nairobi, Thika and Meru, framing them as part of ongoing mobilisation efforts by emerging political formations.
The statements, however, remain part of political commentary on social media and have not been independently verified, with the leaders mentioned yet to formally respond to the claims.
As political realignments continue to take shape, attention is increasingly shifting toward possible coalition formations and regional power struggles expected to define the next election cycle.
