Police are investigating an incident in which a man allegedly killed his mother’s lover at Sogoo area in Narok South sub-county after a quarrel.

Narok county commander John Kizito said the body of 47-year-old Julius Tuwei was found a few metres from Rosemary Silipa’s home who is believed to have been his lover.

“The body had multiple injuries and was dumped on the path near the home of Silipa. The incident was reported by the members of the public,” said Kizito.

The police boss said the suspect, Ngori Cheruiyot, who is the son of Silipa could have committed the murder after reports indicated that he had engaged him in a heated quarrel that night.

“The deceased was cohabiting with Silipa until last night when domestic squabbles began. Cheruiyot reportedly hit the deceased with an iron rod inflicting multiple injuries,” said Kizito.
