Apostle James Maina Ng’ang’a expressed his discontent with the Benny Hinn crusade held at Nyayo Stadium over the weekend, citing a lack of recognition for himself and Pastor Ezekiel Odero.
Addressing his congregation at Neno Evangelic Center on Sunday, Ng’ang’a asserted that his ministry holds more power than the Healing The Nation crusade led by the American-Canadian televangelist, Benny Hinn.
Ng’ang’a claimed to have attended the service as a researcher to observe how Benny Hinn conducted his gospel, but he uncovered what he described as struggles the televangelist faced during the sermon.
“I went just to see how God is using him. I won’t speak now, but there’s something wrong somewhere. That person struggled,” revealed Apostle Ng’ang’a.
Despite being present but unrecognized at the crusade, Ng’ang’a, known for his controversial stance, expressed a desire to be given a guitar to lead the deliverance session.
However, he alleged that he was given a small table positioned far from esteemed positions. “Nilikuwa hapo na nimeona ministry yangu tuko mbele. Nilitamani tu nipewe guitar nipige tu nyimbo mbili waone deliverance ingekuwa hapo lakini Kenya haiwezi kunipokea. Wanapokea tu Waganda. Waganda ndio wanapewa kiti” he added.
“Nilienda tu kuangalia vile Mungu anamtumia. Sitaongea sahisi but there’s something wrong somewhere. Yule mtu alistruggle.” Apostle Ng’ang’a revealed. This loosely translates to (“I was there, and I saw that my ministry is ahead. I wished I could be given a guitar to play a couple of songs for them to see how deliverance would have happened, but Kenya cannot accept me. They only accept Ugandans. Ugandans are the ones given a seat,” )
Despite the perceived lack of recognition, Ng’ang’a asserted that even if the Kenyan government did not acknowledge him, he would be recognized in heaven.
“Government ya Kenya isiponitambua, government ya mbinguni inanitambua” Apostle Ng’ang’a bragged to his church members. This translates to (“If the Kenyan government does not recognize me, the heavenly government recognizes me,” boasted Apostle Ng’ang’a to his congregation)
Addressing the situation of his friend Televangelist Ezekiel Odero, Ng’ang’a noted that Odero was not acknowledged, even to wave a hand at the crusade. He claimed that Odero was seated near the door and left the event before him.
Reports prior to the mega crusade suggested that Apostle Ng’ang’a was asked to contribute Ksh 1 million, but he allegedly refused to comply.
