President William Ruto on Tuesday urged United Democratic Alliance (UDA) delegates to remain focused on party unity and national development as the ruling party ramps up preparations for the 2027 General Election.
Speaking during the UDA National Governing Council (NGC) meeting at State House, Nairobi, Ruto singled out Githunguri Member of Parliament Gathoni Wamuchomba, calling on delegates to applaud her for joining the party.

“Pigieni Wamuchomba makofi,” the President said, prompting loud applause from the gathering.
Ruto addressed concerns previously raised by Wamuchomba regarding the stalled Mau Mau Road project, assuring residents that the government would complete the road before the 2027 elections.

“Wamuchomba had issues with the Mau Mau Road, and we want to assure her and the people that the project will be completed before 2027,” he said.
The President also pledged to enhance road infrastructure across the country, noting that improved transport networks are central to his administration’s development agenda.
