In a groundbreaking move, Parma-pro Realty, a fast-growing real estate firm has announced that it will now accept cryptocurrency as a form of payment for property purchases.
This change comes as a welcome development for investors, particularly Kenyans in the diaspora, who have been looking for more flexible payment methods to invest back home.
This shift aligns with the company’s vision of modernizing property transactions and offering more convenience to its customers.
According to Director Henry Kinyua, this decision is part of Parma-pro Realty’s commitment to embracing technological advancements that benefit their clients while adding that they have projects in several key locations, including Juja, Ruiru, Matuu, and Joska.
“As the world continues to move toward digital payments, we recognize the importance of offering our clients the ability to make payments using cryptocurrency. This development makes it easier for Kenyans abroad to invest in property without the limitations of traditional banking,” Kinyua explained.
This move comes as the Kenyan government continues to support the growth of the real estate sector through favorable policies, including promoting affordable housing and supporting infrastructure development.
The government’s policies are creating an enabling environment for both local and international investors to participate in the housing market, making it more accessible for all.
Kinyua also emphasized the need for the government to protect Kenya’s agricultural land.
He noted that, while the real estate market continues to grow, the conversion of agricultural land to commercial use should be limited to safeguard Kenya’s food security.
“It is crucial that the government ensures agricultural land is protected, as it plays a vital role in feeding the nation,” Kinyua added.
