President William Ruto has emphasized the critical role of women in Kenya’s economic development, highlighting government initiatives that provide financial support to help women start, grow, and scale up businesses.

Speaking at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, during the 16th anniversary of the Joyful Women Organisation, the President noted that empowering women strengthens families, communities, and the nation as a whole.

The organisation, under the patronage of First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto, has so far empowered over 250,000 women across 44 counties, providing economic, social, and collective support.

President Ruto commended their achievements, calling for continued collaboration to expand opportunities for women entrepreneurs nationwide.
