President William Ruto on Wednesday urged the people of Embu County to promote peace, unity, and development.
Speaking during his visit to Embu University, he rallied students, leaders, and local residents to support the government’s development agenda.
Ruto said his government is focused on improving the lives of ordinary Kenyans through hard work and careful planning.

“Today we are launching free Wi-Fi here at Embu University because we believe it will boost e-commerce and create jobs for our youth. The wireless network will give them opportunities to explore online jobs and digital markets. We want micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in Embu and across Kenya to grow their businesses digitally. This initiative is part of our commitment to connect Kenyans, empower youth with digital skills, and deepen economic transformation,” he said.
The President also announced plans to build affordable housing in Embu, providing families with decent and safe homes while creating jobs during construction.
He further highlighted other development priorities, including improving roads, markets, education, and public services. Ruto emphasized that development should reach every part of the country, and urged leaders to work honestly and serve the people.
