Safaricom has upgraded its My OneApp platform to improve accessibility and convenience for customers across different networks, Wi-Fi connections, and roaming locations.
The enhancement now allows users to seamlessly log into the app even when using rival telecom networks or Wi-Fi, addressing previous access challenges faced by customers outside Safaricom coverage areas and Kenyans living abroad.
Through the upgraded platform, customers can continue sending money, paying bills, accessing loans and savings services, and managing their accounts from virtually anywhere.
Safaricom has also introduced biometric authentication features including Face ID and fingerprint verification to enhance transaction approvals and account security.
The new system replaces the previous PIN-only authentication method, offering users a faster, safer, and more seamless login experience.
To activate the biometric feature, users can navigate to Profile, select Biometric Authentication, turn it on, and then enter their M-PESA PIN.
