The Daily Star reports that the France international player was moved just before Christmas to top-security prison Strangeways over fears for his safety.
The decision was made as the Category-A conditions at Strangeways were felt to be better equipped to deal with any potential issues as compared to Liverpool’s HMP Altercourse prisons where he was formally held.
