The 20th National Cooperative CEOs Workshop, themed “Leading Beyond the Horizon,” officially kicked off today at the Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort in Mombasa.
The event, organized by Co-operative Bank of Kenya, brings together visionary Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) from the country’s leading cooperative societies.
The workshop was opened by Mr. Patrick K. Kilemi, the Principal Secretary for Cooperatives and MSMEs, who urged the leaders to embrace their roles as champions of inclusive and sustainable development.
He emphasized the importance of innovation in driving the success of cooperatives, encouraging participants to lead with foresight and a commitment to community-driven growth.
“This is a unique opportunity for cooperative leaders to engage in transformative conversations and share insights that will help shape the future of the cooperative sector,” Mr. Kilemi said during his keynote address.
The three-day workshop will provide participants with valuable thought leadership and insights aimed at fostering long-term sustainability in the cooperative sector.
