Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja has assured Kenyans that the upcoming police recruitment exercise will be free, fair, and transparent.
Speaking on Monday, the IG emphasized that only qualified candidates will be considered, warning that corruption and favoritism will not be tolerated.
“The recruitment will be corruption-free, and only qualified candidates will be recruited. Anyone who goes against this spirit will be taken to jail,” Kanja said.
He noted that in the past, many deserving youths had been denied opportunities due to corrupt practices within the recruitment process.
The IG further warned government officials and leaders against influencing the exercise by favoring unqualified candidates at the expense of those who meet all requirements.
“Those who attempt to undermine this process will face arrest and prosecution,” he stated.
