A recent survey by Infotrak has revealed Kenya’s top-performing Members of Parliament, with Embakasi East MP Babu Owino emerging as the highest-rated legislator with a 72% approval score.
Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro followed closely with 71%, while other notable names featured in the rankings.
However, Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has strongly contested his ranking, arguing that he deserves the top spot.
Salasya, who secured fifth place with a 61% rating, claimed the ranking was unfair and did not reflect his contributions.
“I will give a press statement in this regard. Kwa hawa watu wote, no one matches my ability as the best planner and thinker,” he declared.
Salasya further alleged that the ranking was rigged, maintaining that his leadership and strategic planning skills set him apart from his peers.
Meanwhile, Babu Owino expressed gratitude for the recognition, dedicating the achievement to his constituents and supporters.
“Today is a great day for all Kenyans who believe in credible youthful leaders. The great people of Embakasi East and all who voted for me as the best-performing MP, I sincerely thank you and promise to do even better in my next assignments,” he stated.
