Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi joined President William Ruto and other regional leaders at the 24th Ordinary Summit of the East African Community (EAC) Heads of State, marking 25 years of partnership and progress within the bloc.
The milestone underscores the EAC’s dedication to advancing regional unity, collaboration, and economic integration across East Africa.
Speaking at the event, Mudavadi emphasized Kenya’s unwavering commitment to the EAC agenda, highlighting the country’s leadership role in experience-sharing, consensus-building, and budgetary support.
He underscored that these efforts are crucial in driving sustainable development and fostering a vision of a unified and thriving East Africa.
“Kenya remains dedicated to fostering peace, stability, and cooperation, ensuring all Member States benefit from a cohesive and integrated regional environment,” he stated.
Reflecting on the achievements of the past 25 years, Mudavadi called for renewed efforts to address shared challenges and propel the region toward a brighter future defined by solidarity and opportunity.
The summit, attended by EAC Heads of State and other stakeholders, celebrated the bloc’s achievements while setting the stage for a stronger focus on regional collaboration to tackle pressing challenges such as peace, security, and economic resilience.
Kenya reaffirmed its position as a cornerstone of the EAC, committing to deepened ties that will ensure the continued prosperity of the region.
