Kenya Reaffirms Commitment to Diaspora Welfare and Investment Growth

The Government has reiterated its commitment to strengthening ties with Kenyans living abroad, recognizing the diaspora as a key driver of national development.

Speaking during an engagement with Kenyans in Italy, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi described the diaspora as a powerful pillar supporting investment, trade, skills transfer, and global visibility, while also sustaining families and communities back home through remittances.

Mudavadi highlighted ongoing progress in advancing the diaspora agenda, noting improvements in consular services, increased support for Kenyans in distress, and the expansion of bilateral labour agreements aimed at creating more employment opportunities abroad.
