Robbery Suspect in Abel Mutua Case Emerges, Seeks Forgiveness

A dramatic twist has emerged in the robbery case involving popular Kenyan filmmaker and content creator Abel Mutua, after a man allegedly linked to the incident came forward asking for forgiveness.

The suspect is reported to have admitted involvement in the robbery, confessing that he was part of the group that accosted Mutua at knife point and stole his valuables, including an iPhone 16 Pro Max. The development has reignited public interest in a case that had earlier shocked fans across the country.

The incident dates back to October 2025 when Mutua was attacked in Kahawa West by knife-wielding assailants. According to multiple reports at the time, the attackers ambushed him and made away with several personal items, including his phone and Bose headphones.

Despite the frightening ordeal, Mutua later shared that he was not physically harmed during the robbery, a detail he said he remained deeply grateful for.

“The important thing is that despite the massive knives… they spared my life,” he said in the aftermath of the incident.

The robbery took place in a particularly chilling setting—just across from the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital morgue—adding to the intensity and shock surrounding the attack.
