Addressing residents, Ruto urged Kenyans to have confidence in his deputy, saying Kindiki has consistently demonstrated commitment, discipline, and effective leadership while serving in government.

The President said Kindiki has remained focused on implementing government programmes and has earned his trust through loyalty, dedication, and commitment to public service. He added that when the appropriate time comes, Kindiki would be well placed to lead the country.

Ruto also urged leaders from the Mt. Kenya region to remain united behind the government’s development agenda, arguing that political stability is essential for accelerating economic growth and infrastructure development.

He praised Kindiki for maintaining close engagement with wananchi and supporting the administration’s efforts to improve service delivery across the country.

Speaking at the same event, Kindiki thanked the President for his confidence and reaffirmed his commitment to serving Kenyans.

“I remain focused on supporting the President in implementing the government’s development agenda. My priority is to serve the people faithfully and ensure the promises we made to Kenyans are fulfilled,” Kindiki said.

The President’s remarks have sparked widespread political debate, with supporters interpreting the endorsement as a strong indication of Ruto’s preferred successor.
