President William Ruto has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to investing in education as a cornerstone of the country’s transformation agenda.
Speaking during the handover of 20 newly constructed classrooms at Westlands Primary School in Westlands Constituency, Nairobi County, the President said the government is focused on equipping young people with the skills needed to drive Kenya’s economic and social progress.

“We are investing in education to equip our youth with the skills that will drive our country’s transformation. Through this investment, we are preparing them to be productive and ensuring that every young Kenyan, regardless of background, has a fair and equal chance to succeed,” he said.
The new classrooms are expected to ease congestion at the school, providing a more conducive learning environment for pupils and teachers. Parents and education stakeholders in the area welcomed the development, noting that improved infrastructure will enhance academic performance and boost morale among learners.
The President emphasized that expanding school infrastructure across the country remains a top priority, especially in urban areas experiencing rapid population growth. He reiterated that equal access to quality education is central to building an inclusive and competitive nation.
