Tikiti ya ODM ni vita kati ya Mbunge wa Mvita Abdulswamad Sharif Nassir na bilionea wa Mombasa Suleiman Shabal.
Sonko alikaribishwa rasmi kwa Wiper na kiongozi wa chama Kalonzo Musyoka mnamo Machi 25, huku timu yake ikidokeza kwamba anazingatia mipango ya kutwaa tena kiti chake kama mkuu wa Kaunti ya Nairobi.
