Kenyatta University on Tuesday hosted a high-level visit from the Ukrainian Ambassador, aimed at strengthening academic collaboration between Kenya and Ukraine.
The engagement, chaired by Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. John Okumu, focused on building practical partnerships, including student exchanges and joint research initiatives in areas such as agriculture, medicine, and tourism.
During the visit, discussions highlighted the strategic role universities play in fostering international relations, emphasizing shared historical experiences, mutual resilience, and the potential for long-term academic cooperation.
Representatives from Ukrainian universities revealed plans to create specialized faculties tailored for African students, opening new opportunities for youth collaboration and knowledge exchange.
