Wanyonyi Officially Declares Bid For Nairobi Gubernatorial Position

Westlands Law maker Timothy Wanyonyi has officially announced his candidature  for the Nairobi Gubernatorial race.

Wanyonyi announced that he will be vying to be the fourth governor  of Nairobi in an ODM ticket.

In his ten point action plan for Nairobi, the legislator promised to integrate ICT as a core enabler of functions and services by the Nairobi County.

Also in his manifesto is to enhance service delivery and ensure a clean environment, create a conducive legal infrastructure regime that will enable talent search and incubation for the Youth, transform the city into a business friendly and thriving hub for all.

Under his administration Wanuonyi says he will ensure A Healthy environment, and a safe dignified home for children and people living with disability

” I will transform how business is conducted in Nairobi by ensuring that there is only cashless payments for service.” Said Wanyonyi.

Wanyonyi pledged to provide free WIFI  to the techpreneurs in his employment plan for Nairobians.

“I am ready to be the next Governor of Nairobi as I will able to deliver what the Nairobi Citizens require,” declared Wanyonyi.

Endorsing Tim for the Gubernatorial seat, Mathare Member of Parliament Anthony Oluch said Nairobi will be safe in the hands if only Wanyonyi noted that Nairobi  will only be safe in the hand of Wanyonyi.

“Mathare Constituency will benefit alot because the playing grounds will be upgraded into modern stadiums and talent will grow. I fully endorse him for the governor position,” said Oluoch.

ODM secretary Edwin Sifuna who was also present has praised him saying there won’t be any division in the party nomination of who will carry the flag for the party.

He said Wanyonyi has a clear track record in Westlands which sets it clear for the Gubernatorial position.

“Nairobi citizens have said they want a person who is sobber enough to champion for the needs of citizens. We know you’ll create a business environment for foreign investors,”said Sifuna.

He called on Wanyonyi to ensure the City Inspectorate deal with Citizens in a good way without harassment.
