The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has arraigned Dorothy Jepkoech Kiptoo, an employee at the Office of the Auditor General, for allegedly using a forged academic certificate to secure public employment.
According to the Commission, investigations revealed that Kiptoo falsified a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) document, presenting it as genuine to obtain her position at the Auditor General’s office.

Following a review, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) approved charges against her, which include fraudulent acquisition of public property worth KES 8,698,662.91, forgery, and uttering a false document.
Kiptoo was taken to the Integrity Centre Police Station and later arraigned at the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court.
She pleaded not guilty and was released on a cash bail of KES 100,000 or an alternative bond of KES 500,000.
EACC emphasized that the case underscores its ongoing commitment to tackling fraud and upholding integrity in the public service sector.
